Settings & Configuration
Viewing Account Information
Step: Navigate to Account Information
- Click "Settings" in the sidebar
- Click "Account Information" in the Settings submenu
Step: View Account Details
- Username
- Email address
- Role
- Account creation date
- Last login information
Managing Security Settings
Step: Navigate to Security
- Click "Settings" in the sidebar
- Click "Security" in the Settings submenu
Step: Change Password
- Find the "Change Password" section
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password (minimum 8 characters)
- Confirm the new password
- Click "Update Password"
- You'll be logged out and need to log in again
Step: Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Find the "Multi-Factor Authentication" section
- Click "Enable MFA"
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
- Enter the 6-digit code from your app to verify
- MFA will be enabled
- Save your backup codes - you'll need them if you lose access to your authenticator
Step: Disable MFA
- Find the "Multi-Factor Authentication" section
- Click "Disable MFA"
- Confirm the action
- MFA will be disabled
Step: View Backup Codes
- Backup codes are shown when MFA is enabled
- Each code can be used once
- Generate new codes if needed
Step: Manage Active Sessions
- Find the "Active Sessions" section
- View all active login sessions
- Click "Revoke" to log out a specific session
- Useful if you suspect unauthorized access
Configuring Status Check Settings
Step: Navigate to Status Check Configuration
- Click "Settings" in the sidebar
- Click "Status Check Configuration" in the Settings submenu
Step: Configure Status Checking
- Enable Status Checks: Toggle to enable/disable automatic status checking
- Check Interval: Set how often to check link statuses (e.g., every 24 hours)
- Timeout: Set timeout for status check requests
- Retry Settings: Configure retry attempts for failed checks
- Click "Save Settings"
Step: Understand Status Codes
- 200 OK: Link destination is accessible
- 301/302: Redirect responses (normal)
- 404: Destination not found
- 500: Server error
- Timeout: Request took too long
- Unknown: Unable to determine status
Configuring Analytics Aggregation
Step: Navigate to Analytics Aggregation
- Click "Settings" in the sidebar
- Click "Analytics Aggregation" in the Settings submenu
- Note: Only visible to Owner/Admin roles
Step: Configure Aggregation
- Aggregation Interval: Set how often to aggregate analytics data
- Retention Period: Set how long to keep detailed analytics
- Aggregation Method: Choose aggregation strategy
- Click "Save Settings"
Managing Users (Owner/Admin Only)
Step: Navigate to User Management
- Click "Settings" in the sidebar
- Click "User Management" in the Settings submenu
- Note: Only visible to Owner/Admin roles
Step: View Users
- See a list of all users
- View username, email, role, and creation date
- See last login information
Step: Create New User
- Click "Create User" button
- Enter username (required)
- Enter email (optional)
- Enter password (minimum 8 characters)
- Select role: Admin, Editor, or Viewer
- Click "Create User"
- User will be created and can log in immediately
Step: Edit User
- Find the user in the list
- Click "Edit" button
- Modify username, email, or role
- Optionally change password
- Click "Save Changes"
Step: Delete User
- Find the user in the list
- Click "Delete" button
- Confirm deletion
- Warning: This action cannot be undone
Viewing Audit Log
Step: Navigate to Audit Log
- Click "Settings" in the sidebar
- Click "Audit Log" in the Settings submenu
Step: View Log Entries
- See a chronological list of all actions
- Each entry shows:
- Timestamp
- User who performed the action
- Action type (Create, Update, Delete, etc.)
- Resource affected
- Details of the change
Step: Filter Audit Log
- Use filters to narrow down entries:
- Filter by user
- Filter by action type
- Filter by date range
- Click "Apply Filters"
Step: Pagination
- Use pagination controls to navigate through log entries
- Change items per page if needed
