Viewing Account Information

Step: Navigate to Account Information

  1. Click "Settings" in the sidebar
  2. Click "Account Information" in the Settings submenu

Step: View Account Details

  1. Username
  2. Email address
  3. Role
  4. Account creation date
  5. Last login information

Managing Security Settings

Step: Navigate to Security

  1. Click "Settings" in the sidebar
  2. Click "Security" in the Settings submenu

Step: Change Password

  1. Find the "Change Password" section
  2. Enter your current password
  3. Enter your new password (minimum 8 characters)
  4. Confirm the new password
  5. Click "Update Password"
  6. You'll be logged out and need to log in again

Step: Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

  1. Find the "Multi-Factor Authentication" section
  2. Click "Enable MFA"
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to verify
  5. MFA will be enabled
  6. Save your backup codes - you'll need them if you lose access to your authenticator

Step: Disable MFA

  1. Find the "Multi-Factor Authentication" section
  2. Click "Disable MFA"
  3. Confirm the action
  4. MFA will be disabled

Step: View Backup Codes

  1. Backup codes are shown when MFA is enabled
  2. Each code can be used once
  3. Generate new codes if needed

Step: Manage Active Sessions

  1. Find the "Active Sessions" section
  2. View all active login sessions
  3. Click "Revoke" to log out a specific session
  4. Useful if you suspect unauthorized access

Configuring Status Check Settings

Step: Navigate to Status Check Configuration

  1. Click "Settings" in the sidebar
  2. Click "Status Check Configuration" in the Settings submenu

Step: Configure Status Checking

  1. Enable Status Checks: Toggle to enable/disable automatic status checking
  2. Check Interval: Set how often to check link statuses (e.g., every 24 hours)
  3. Timeout: Set timeout for status check requests
  4. Retry Settings: Configure retry attempts for failed checks
  5. Click "Save Settings"

Step: Understand Status Codes

  1. 200 OK: Link destination is accessible
  2. 301/302: Redirect responses (normal)
  3. 404: Destination not found
  4. 500: Server error
  5. Timeout: Request took too long
  6. Unknown: Unable to determine status

Configuring Analytics Aggregation

Step: Navigate to Analytics Aggregation

  1. Click "Settings" in the sidebar
  2. Click "Analytics Aggregation" in the Settings submenu
  3. Note: Only visible to Owner/Admin roles

Step: Configure Aggregation

  1. Aggregation Interval: Set how often to aggregate analytics data
  2. Retention Period: Set how long to keep detailed analytics
  3. Aggregation Method: Choose aggregation strategy
  4. Click "Save Settings"
Purpose: Aggregation improves performance by pre-calculating analytics data instead of computing it on-demand.

Managing Users (Owner/Admin Only)

Step: Navigate to User Management

  1. Click "Settings" in the sidebar
  2. Click "User Management" in the Settings submenu
  3. Note: Only visible to Owner/Admin roles

Step: View Users

  1. See a list of all users
  2. View username, email, role, and creation date
  3. See last login information

Step: Create New User

  1. Click "Create User" button
  2. Enter username (required)
  3. Enter email (optional)
  4. Enter password (minimum 8 characters)
  5. Select role: Admin, Editor, or Viewer
  6. Click "Create User"
  7. User will be created and can log in immediately

Step: Edit User

  1. Find the user in the list
  2. Click "Edit" button
  3. Modify username, email, or role
  4. Optionally change password
  5. Click "Save Changes"

Step: Delete User

  1. Find the user in the list
  2. Click "Delete" button
  3. Confirm deletion
  4. Warning: This action cannot be undone
Important: You cannot delete your own account. Another admin must do it.

Viewing Audit Log

Step: Navigate to Audit Log

  1. Click "Settings" in the sidebar
  2. Click "Audit Log" in the Settings submenu

Step: View Log Entries

  1. See a chronological list of all actions
  2. Each entry shows:

- Timestamp

- User who performed the action

- Action type (Create, Update, Delete, etc.)

- Resource affected

- Details of the change

Step: Filter Audit Log

  1. Use filters to narrow down entries:

- Filter by user

- Filter by action type

- Filter by date range

  1. Click "Apply Filters"

Step: Pagination

  1. Use pagination controls to navigate through log entries
  2. Change items per page if needed
Purpose: Audit logs help track changes, troubleshoot issues, and maintain security compliance.
